  2. I’ve known for a while that gratitude is the number one thing I can do for myself.

    My mom just recently started a gratitude journal. She even downloaded a gratitude app. Since she’s been doing it, she’s so much happier. She sees things in a different light and she reacts to things differently. She’s 69-years-old and has spent a lot of her life feeling stressed, so I’m so glad she decided to start focusing on gratitude.

    Yesterday she was telling me that it wasn’t just making her more positive, it was also making my dad more positive. I think that’s one huge benefit of self-care… you can influence others positively too.
